Alur Lebah api-meliponiary is a small local bee farm that produces high-quality and ethical bee-products. Our api-meliponiary situated in the heart of historical Alur Lebah Estuary. Alur Lebah Mangrove Estuary has an area of 1037 acres, comprises more than 212 brackish and salt water plant species. Alur Lebah (Bee Groove) was named as it is because of the population of these pollinators back then. The first settlers discovered its wild honey in the 1970. Since then, Alur Lebah Estuary was once the largest producer of wild honey in Langkat Regency.

In the present, these pollinators have decrease in population due to deforestation and habitat loss. Our mission is to bring back the pollinators by supporting estuary ecosystem, ethical and biodynamic beekeeping through education on how important is the estuary ecosystem.
